PRINCIPALS
JIM BURNETT, FASLA
Jim Burnett founded the Office of James Burnett in 1989 and has dedicated his career to creating meaningful spaces that challenge the conventional boundaries of landscape architecture. To date, Jim has garnered over fifty state and national design awards for projects consistently cited for innovative design solutions.
Jim has taken a multi-disciplinary approach to his practice, often working closely with design teams of well-known architects, planners, artists, and other professionals, including doctors, scientists, and a diverse range of clients. In his work, ranging from corporate and educational campuses, park planning, resorts, healthcare campuses, and visionary projects, there has been a particularly strong focus on designing landscapes that promote healthy living.
His work and writings in health care design have been widely published and have changed the approach to creating healing environments, bringing the needs of the patients to the forefront of projects. Jim has a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Louisiana State University and has been a member of the Louisiana State University Design Circle since 2000. In 2004 Jim was made a Fellow by the American Society of Landscape Architects, the highest form of honorary recognition that the professional association can bestow upon one of its members.
CHIP TRAGESER, ASLA
Chip Trageser is a Landscape Architect with over eighteen years of professional experience. He is responsible for various urban academic campus and public park projects. As Principal, his responsibilities include director of design and operations for the Houston office. He is currently overseeing the design of City Center Mixed-Use Development, Rice Physics Building, McMurtry College, and Duncan College projects in Houston, Texas. He was the Principal in Charge responsible for The Park at Lakeshore East in Chicago and the Gaylord National Harbor and Convention Center in Prince Georges County Maryland.
Chip has a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Louisiana State University and is an active member in the Houston design community. His talks on therapeutic landscapes and gardens with meaning have informed students and professionals alike. He is currently a member of the Rice Design Alliance.
KYLE FIDDELKE, ASLA
Kyle Fiddelke is a Landscape Architect with over ten years of professional experience. He is responsible for managing various large commercial, community, healthcare, and institutional projects. As Principal, his responsibilities include project management, design development, coordination of construction drawings, and construction administration. Some of these projects currently include the Salk Institute for Biological Studies Master Plan, River Point Office Tower, Playa Vista Central Park, Devon Energy World Headquarters and numerous UCSD Projects. He has a strong understanding of place which informs his design and choice of materials. Kyle has a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Iowa State University and also attended the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in Melbourne, Australia.
JERECK BOSS, ASLA
Jereck Boss is a Landscape Architect with over fifteen years of professional experience. Throughout his career he has worked on a wide variety of projects including corporate and university campuses, resorts and urban design. He recently completed the renovations of the gardens at ConocoPhillips notable sixty-three acre campus in west Houston and led the executive landscape architecture role on CityCenter, a 66-acre, $7 billion mixed-use resort project for MGM Mirage.
As a Principal in the Houston office, his responsibilities include project design, development and management. He is also responsible for ensuring that the firm understands and utilizes the latest computer aided drafting techniques and technology. Jereck received his Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Utah State University.
