Dallas Observer Blogger Beams About Klyde Warren Park
On his blog "Get Off My Lawn!", Jim Schutze—in his unique and interesting journalistic style—published some very kind words about his recent visit to Klyde Warren Park:
"Yesterday the new deck park built above the sunken portion of the Woodall Rodgers Freeway between the Arts District and Uptown was every wonderful park I have ever seen anywhere in the world on a beautiful day, with all kinds of people and kids and dogs on leashes, big family picnics spread on quilts, food trucks as far as you could see, impromptu Frisbee football played by kids of all ages who didn't even know each other, and not a sour note in the air."

We love it when our work is recognized by peers, publications, awards committees, etc. However, as is especially the case with our work in the public realm, it is exceptionally gratifying when the people who pass through and spend time at our projects offer their appreciation. At a project's inception, when we begin conceiving and designing "what can be," it is our hope and intent to create something worthy of praises such as Mr. Shutze's.
