Myriad Botanical Gardens Named Finalist for 2015 ULI Urban Open Space Award

The Myriad Botanical Gardens in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma have been named as a finalist for the 2015 Urban Land Institute's Urban Open Space Award. The Urban Open Space Award recognizes successful public spaces that have socially and economically enriched and revitalized their communities.

Myriad Gardens is a joint-investment effort which took a highly underused yet prime 15-acre urban downtown site that had fallen into disrepair, and transformed it into a state-of-the-art, highly active destination to improve the quality of life in Oklahoma City and continue the renaissance of the entire downtown.

Myriad has been named alongside 5 other contenders, including Millennium Park in Chicago, Washington Canal Park in Washington DC, Tongva Park in Santa Monica, Marina Bay in Singapore, and Thousand Lantern Park in Foshan, China.

OJB’s Downtown Dallas Park Klyde Warren Park won the Urban Open Space Award in 2014 for its role in the reunification of central Dallas.
