In partnership with Civic San Diego and MJE Marketing, OJB held its second public workshop for the San Diego East Village Green this past Tuesday June 23, 2015 from 6-9pm at Quartyard in the East Village. The Workshop was well-attended with over 150 members of the community stopping by to provide input on their future neighborhood park. Visitors were able to view three park concepts generated by OJB for the 4.1 acre, triple phased project, and complete a survey of questions to indicate their preferences for the preliminary schemes.

Public input on favored programming elements from  the initial public meeting on March 28th informed the three schemes presented. Each of the three concepts, ‘Urban Village’, ‘Central Green’ and ‘Garden Green’ emphasized different programming elements, each approaching these elements with regard to the three phases in which the park is expected to be developed.

There’s still time to vote! If you were unable to join us last week, please visit the project’s website at www.eastvillagegreen.com for further information on each scheme, signup for information in future outreach meetings, and to provide your input by completing the survey online. Voting will remain open through Sunday, July 5, 2015.

OJB will compile all of the feedback received to develop a Preferred General Development Plan for the park later this summer.
