Jim Burnett, FASLA, will be speaking at the second annual “Third L.A.,” a series of public conversations that explores and explains the city, which is in the midst of a great reinvention. The “Turf Battles: The Lawn in Los Angeles” conversation will take place at Occidental College on Wednesday, February 17th at 7:30 PM, and will explore landscape and the future of the lawn in Los Angeles in the era of climate change.

The Third Los Angeles Project is a collaboration between Occidental College and Christopher Hawthorne, Professor of practice in the Urban & Environmental Policy Department at Occidental, as well as architecture critic at the Los Angeles Times since 2004.

All events are free and open to the public, although seating is limited and pre-registration is required for individual events. Registration will open two weeks before each event.
