North Coast Harbor

North Coast Harbor is a 28-acre site located on the shores of Lake Erie in downtown Cleveland OH. The area, formerly serving as docks for the Cleveland-Cuyahoga County Port Authority, will be transformed into a vibrant mixed-use neighborhood, comprised of more than 1,000 apartments, offices, a school, a hotel, eateries, shops, parking and recreation areas. In a joint venture, Cumberland Development, LLC and Trammell Crow Company teamed as the developer. OJB was retained to develop an overall Landscape Master Plan for the project, as well as provide landscape architectural services for the first phase of the development which is currently underway.

The first phase consists of a standalone restaurant on Voinovich Pier Park which was completed in the summer of 2016. The site expands the current park amenities to provide public volleyball courts and shaded landscape courts, along with an ample restaurant terrace which features lounge seating and fire pits. Additionally, on the pier, construction of a mixed-use building containing 8,000 SF of retail space and 24 apartments is currently underway. This phase also includes a proposed hotel adjacent to the existing Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame.
