Abbey Franovich is a licensed landscape architect with a Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture from Mississippi State University and a Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture in Urban Design from the Harvard Graduate School of Design. Abbey’s expertise spans urban design, mixed-use development, and park design. She is passionate about creating spaces that are not only functional but also authentic and rich in character to amplify the human experience. 

In addition to her professional practice, Abbey has a background in academia, having previously served as a professor at Mississippi State University. During her tenure, Abbey led design-build studios that focused on developing learning gardens for schools in rural Mississippi. She combined practical construction techniques with locally sourced materials to create impactful educational environments. 

Abbey also balances her design practice with innovative research. She has developed research exploring the potential of 3D printed concrete in landscape architecture, pushing the boundaries of technology in the field. Her commitment to integrating research with practice allows her to continuously advance and innovate within the discipline.
