About Katie Haas

Kathleen (Katie) Haas is a registered landscape architect and intern at OJB*Lab. While interning with OJB, Katie is pursuing a Master of Environmental Studies at the University of Pennsylvania, where she is learning to integrate sustainable practices into her designs. Her goal is to design landscapes that promote ecosystem diversity and enhance the human experience. As a steward of the land, she strives to create healthy and resilient landscapes that support both humanity and the surrounding flora and fauna.

Before relocating to Philadelphia, Katie was a long-time resident of Connecticut. In 2022, she was honored with a Connecticut ASLA Merritt Award for her work at a private educational institution. Katie holds a deep passion for small invertebrates and has been involved with the community organization, Pollinator Pathway, which aims to educate residents about safe pollinator corridors. Her past experiences and current affiliations strengthen her understanding of the necessity for more sustainable and biodiverse landscapes in growing communities.
