About Nina Ndichu, Assoc. AIA, WEDG, NOMA
Nina is an Architect and Urban Designer, with a Master of Science in Architecture and Urban Design from Columbia University and a Master of Architecture in Environmental Building Science from University of Nairobi. Nina possesses a unique background in various fields of the built environment garnering fifteen years of work experience.
Nina is passionate about equity in design, community engagement and data driven decision making that ultimately aims to achieve net-zero carbon emissions. In 2020, she won the William Kinne Fellows Travelling Prize for her research paper, Go Green: Limiting the carbon footprint in a post COVID-19 World. She would like to promote circular economies through empowering communities to develop simple and innovative technologies to combat the effects of climate change. Nina aspires to radically re-imagine the systems that shape our lives by advocating for investment of time, resources, and perseverance she knows it takes to develop truly inclusive, equitable and accountable designs.
