About Reece Salmons
Reece joined OJB*lab as an intern in 2021. He graduated from UCLA in 3 years with a degree in Geography/Environmental Studies and Conservation Biology. He joins OJB following stints in Idaho, North Carolina, and Alaska, where he worked with Student Conservation Assoc., US Forest Service, National Park Service, and Americorps. Reece has served in various roles and gained experience in environmental education, fire ecology, recreation management, restoration, and environmental monitoring. He hopes to bring his love for the outdoors and passion for sustainability and environmental conservation to OJB*lab, where he will assist in reaching the firm’s sustainability goals. Reece is inspired by the dire need to shift our systems to a more sustainable path, the loss of biodiversity across the world, and the hope for a better and healthier way of life. Currently, he is working on fire resiliency research and will soon move on to soil health research.
