Taran Jensvold

Senior Associate | Houston / tjensvold@ojb.com

A relative newcomer to OJB, Taran joyously discovered landscape architecture as an undergraduate at Colorado State University.  It is the perfect profession for creative individuals with a broad spectrum of interests. Her professional career has landed her at design and planning firms in Denver, Philadelphia, and Melbourne, Australia, with a collective eight years of experience working on a wide range of project typologies, from cultural landscape planning for the National Park Service to site design for urban streetscapes and public gardens.  She earned a Baccalaureate degree in Landscape Architecture from Colorado State University and a Master of Landscape Architecture degree from the University of Pennsylvania, where she worked as a research assistant for history and theory, and as a teaching assistant for the introductory ecology, grading, and planting courses.  She subsequently helped teach courses in grading, planting, and stormwater management as a lecturer at Penn post-graduation.  She is excited to be home in Houston, where she grew up, and a member of the OJB studio, working on great projects in an office culture that promotes team collaboration and supports professional growth.
