Marketing Intern

OJB, an award-winning landscape architecture design practice with locations in Texas, California, Pennsylvania and Massachusetts seeks a Marketing Intern to work up to 20 hours per week in either our Houston, TX or Solana Beach, CA studios. Our clients include internationally-acclaimed architectural firms, Fortune 500 companies, private developers, municipal governments, non-profit agencies and private citizens.

The Marketing Intern will work with a team of dynamic and highly creative professionals, assisting with project pursuits, client communications, and collaborative engagement. This intern position is for college students currently pursuing degrees in Marketing, Advertising, Graphic Design or other related areas. We work at a fast pace and hold our team to a high standard and have lots of fun along the way! As an OJB Marketing Intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience and learn from an amazing team. Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation of responses to Request for Qualifications (RFQs) and presentation materials in Adobe InDesign, meeting deadlines for all submittals and working under the guidance of the Marketing Director and/or Marketing Manager.
  • Support the maintenance of the firm’s business development log in Outlook.
  • Adding and updating content into Open Asset.
  • Video Editing.
  • Assist with photoshoot preparation.
  • Organize project photography.
  • Assist with social media efforts.
  • Assist the marketing team with projects as needed.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Will be working toward a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Marketing, Graphic Design, Communications, Advertising, or a related field.
  • Experience with desktop publishing software – InDesign is required.
  • Experience with word processing software (MS Office Suite is required).
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Project Management, organization and time management skills, and an ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
