JAMES BURNETT TO SPEAK AT CONSERVING MODERNISM: CELEBRATING SUNNYLANDS AND A. QUINCY JONES

On Saturday, February 25, The Palm Springs Art Museum, The Annenberg Foundation Trust at Sunnylands, and the Historic Preservation Program of The University of Southern California School of Architecture will host “Conserving Modernism: Celebrating Sunnylands and A. Quincy Jones.” The daylong symposium will celebrate the reopening of Sunnylands, the winter estate of Ambassador Walter and Leonore Annenberg in Rancho Mirage, CA. In the morning, the symposium will focus on the work of A. Quincy Jones and the rehabilitation of Sunnylands, as well as the design of the Center and Gardens. James Burnett, FASLA will discuss his desert botanical garden design for the new 15 acre Center set to open to the public on March 1st.
