Modernism Week 2022 returns to in-person events in and around Palm Springs and the Coachella Valley this year after a mostly virtual festival in 2021. With more than 350 events focused on architecture, gardens and art in the desert setting, Modernism Week draws thousands of people to the Palm Springs area to celebrate the legacy and power of design. The festival is the perfect setting for the launch of the OJB monograph, Envisioning Landscapes, published by The Monacelli Press/Phaidon.
Tickets are now on sale for Jim Burnett’s talk on the changing imperatives of public gardens. Jim will share lessons learned from the acclaimed desert gardens at Sunnylands Center and Gardens in nearby Rancho Mirage and several compelling public gardens.
