OJB IS GROWING AND EVOLVING

In the last five years OJB has hired new team members and with this growth the firm has evolved. This year OJB experienced organizational changes including the addition of two shareholders, two principals and two senior associates.

Chip Trageser, FASLA and Jereck Boss, ASLA who lead OJB’s Houston office have become shareholders in the firm.

Chip is a Principal at OJB’s Houston office. He has been with the firm for the last 19 years of his 25-year career in landscape architecture. In November of 2015 he was elevated to Fellow by the American Society of Landscape Architects in recognition of his contributions to the profession. His portfolio of work includes mixed-use, healthcare, academic and corporate campus projects. Notable award-winning projects include Rice University’s Brochstein Pavilion and Brockman Physics Building, CityCentre in Houston, and The Park at Lakeshore East in Chicago. Chip directed design for the recently completed Baylor University Fountain Mall and also serves as the Principal-in-Charge for Levy Park, a highly-anticipated open space project in Houston’s Upper Kirby District slated for completion in early 2017.

Jereck joined the OJB team 13 years ago and is a Principal in Houston. Jereck has 22 years of professional experience, overseeing all facets of design and operations. Jereck remains actively involved in the design community as a board member of Rice University’s Design Alliance and Utah State University’s Landscape Architecture Advisory Board. Noteworthy projects include the gardens at ConocoPhillips, the Asia Society Texas Center, and BG Group Place, all located in Houston, as well as Project 180 streetscape redevelopment in Oklahoma City and CityCenter in Las Vegas. Currently, Jereck is leading several projects including, 609 Main at Texas in Houston, Peoria Complete Streets downtown redevelopment in Peoria, IL, and the State Farm Headquarters project in Dallas.

OJB also welcomed two new Principals – Dillon Diers, ASLA, and Cody Klein, ASLA.

Dillon has been an indispensable asset to OJB in his ten-year tenure. He passionately leads a team of landscape designers in the Solana Beach office and his expertise helped guide the completion of the award-winning Sunnylands Center & Gardens in Rancho Mirage, CA. Current project work includes Arboleda mixed-use development in Monterrey, MX where he gets to flex his bilingual skills, Westfield Century City in Los Angeles, and Westfield Valley Fair in San Jose as well as Pathline at Peery Park in Sunnyvale, CA, The Brickyard in Playa Vista, CA and 17850 Von Karman in Irvine, CA. Recently completed projects include The Collective at Playa Vista and The Fairway at Burbank Studios.

In the five years Cody has been with OJB, he has been an integral part of the firm’s East Coast expansion. He leads the Boston office and directs several projects including Partners HealthCare Administrative Campus in Somerville, MA, and the recently completed Christ Hospital in Cincinnati. Cody and his team are growing the office and strengthening their local presence with new wins at South Station and Back Bay Station.
