About Charlye Stewart
Charlye is an intern in OJB’s Houston office, who recently graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Master of Landscape Architecture. She comes to OJB with a background in wildlife ecology and conservation; much of her graduate work explored creative ways to foster moments between humans and nonhuman species. Charlye is research-oriented with a passion for fieldwork— especially when working with regional ecologies that are distinct from the Mid-Atlantic, where she’s spent much of her life. Her prior experiences include hands-on work with animal handling and husbandry; garden maintenance and programming; stream and watershed stewardship; recreational design; and environmental justice. Charlye is detail-oriented and focused; as a leader, she uses empathy and curiosity to engage groups with a wide range of cultural backgrounds and experiences. In her free time, she enjoys live jazz, nature walks, and cooking new meals.
