About Mrinalini Verma

Mrinalini joined the Philadelphia office in May 2021 as an intern and started full-time in 2022 as a project designer and sustainable design specialist. During her time at OJB she’s worked on the Belward Campus and Stanford Health Care’s Sustainable Landscape Design Guidelines. Mrinalini is also part of OJB*lab, where she has consulted on CoStar’s Headquarters, Carnegie Mellon University’s Health, Wellness, and Athletics Center, Knox Landing, Avenue of the Stars, and Detroit Gratiot. She was a research assistant for the LAF Deb Mitchell Grant, testing on field as well as working on engagement sessions. Outside OJB, she’s working on research, design, and implementation of Green Stormwater projects at public schools in West Philadelphia. She is also designing stormwater strategic plan for the city of Pittsburgh with PWSA. She won first place nationally for EPA’s RainWorks Challenge, Water Center Research Award, and leads Penn’s Environmental Innovations Initiative for a research project in K-12 school in West Philadelphia.

Mrinalini strongly believes in the need of inter-disciplinary collaboration in the field of design to include varied insights, which not only increases our understanding of site and its issues but advances our thinking of opportunities for the site.
