Gio Hur joined the OJB Boston team in 2025. She earned her Master’s in Landscape Architecture from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design and her Bachelor of Arts in Landscape Architecture with minors in Conservation and Resource Studies and Sustainable Design from the University of California, Berkeley. She has experience working at a landscape firm in Berkeley as well as contributing to numerous collaborative research projects, with a particular focus on environmental equity and sustainable design.
Raised on a Pacific island, Gio brings a deep appreciation for sensitive and historically significant landscapes into her work, cultivating expertise in adaptable, climate-responsive design and the cultural narratives embedded in these spaces. Her experiences on the West Coast and now in Boston have further shaped her approach, allowing her to engage with diverse ecological and urban contexts. As a Designer, Gio contributes to every stage of the landscape design and construction process, helping to guide projects from concept to completion.
