LA JOLLA COMMONS RECEIVES AWARD OF HONOR AT ASLA SAN DIEGO

The recently completed La Jolla Commons Office Tower has received the Award of Honor from the San Diego Chapter of The American Society of Landscape Architects. The 13-story, 300,000 SF, multi-tenant high-rise tower is sited on a two-acre park-like campus. Broad swaths of grasses surround relaxing seating areas, while large California Peppers shade dining pavilions and games courts. At the heart of the plan is a sweeping central water feature framed by a steel trellis shade structure.  La Jolla Commons has received LEED Gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.

Two other OJB projects, the Mesa College Quadrangle Masterplan and the UCSD Structural Engineering and Materials Lab both won the ASLA San Diego Award of Merit.
