Amanda Walker

Project Designer | Boston /

Amanda joined the Boston office in 2019 after completing her Masters of Landscape Architecture from the Harvard Graduate School of Design. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture and in Art History, with a focus in Japanese garden design. Amanda was drawn to the interdisciplinary of landscape in its ability to shape the built and natural environments as they relate to the formation of community. Her design methodology is greatly influenced by the two years she spent studying in Europe — where she explored sustainable design initiatives in Copenhagen and urban spaces in Rome.

Coming from Jamaica, Amanda has experience working on projects across the Caribbean’s islands — from coastal remediation and hurricane disaster tactics, to the design of formal gardens, private residencies and hospitality. She is currently working on the masterplan for Downtown Cary Park in Cary, North Carolina.
