Cristina earned a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture with minors in Sustainability Leadership and Spanish from Pennsylvania State University. She found her passion for landscape architecture from traveling; she studied architecture in Tanzania, Brazil, Germany, and the United States. She always strives to make each of her landscapes grounded in the specific history and culture of place. As a Senior Associate, her attention to site surroundings, from both human and ecological standpoints, is foundational to her design approach. After moving to Houston, she is a strong advocate for sustainable construction practices, especially concerning floodwater protection. She received two student awards from the PA-DE chapter of ASLA, as well as numerous design awards from the university. In her free time, Cristina enjoys learning new languages, especially German and Japanese.
