About Cynthia Cruz
Cynthia graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Architecture degree. As a Designer, she primarily provides support by assisting with presentations, 3D modeling, and rendering. Cynthia also has a strong hand in the construction documentation phase, contributing to all stages of the documentation process. Originally from Houston, Texas, she finds inspiration in the culture of the cities, the people who inhabit it, and the climate of the area. Cynthia believes it is essential to consider the limitations and needs of the community in the design process, ensuring that projects are aligned with the surrounding culture and ecosystem. Being mindful of sustainability is one of her core values, and she is a strong proponent that every project should aim to preserve water, use native plantings, and incorporate sustainable practices. She was drawn to landscape architecture after a study abroad trip to Morocco and France where she studied the urban landscape of port-cities. During her thesis year in undergrad, she designed spaces of academia, profession, and commerce in unused landscape in Pasadena, Texas. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, restoring vintage and antique furniture, hiking, and exploring new parks, especially national parks. She is also an associate of the AIA Houston chapter.
