The City Parks Alliance, a national member organization dedicated to the promotion and of urban parks, has named Klyde Warren Park as a Frontline Park. The City Parks Alliance recognizes one Frontline Park a month to promote and highlight inspiring examples of urban park excellence, innovation, and stewardship across the country. Klyde Warren Park has been chosen for its transformation of downtown Dallas by bridging the Woodall Rodgers freeway that severed the city’s uptown and downtown.
Frontline Parks accompanying post ‘Everything’s Greener in Texas’ outlines the problem, solution, outcome and lessons learned by the park, with reference to it 2014 ULI Urban Open Space Award.
