KRLD HOUSTON INTERVIEWS JOHN GOFF OF CRESCENT REAL ESTATE AND HIGHLIGHTS OJB’S THE CRESCENT AND MCKINNEY AND OLIVE

David Johnson, business analyst at KRLD NewsRadio, a CBS affiliate out of Houston, interviewed John Goff, Chairman & CEO of Crescent Real Estate Holdings. The interview focuses on Crescent Real Estate’s assets located in Houston and touches upon the recent redevelopment of The Crescent, a mixed-use project, as well as McKinney and Olive, which offers Class A office space. Goff highlights OJB’s landscape design of both projects and mentions the firm’s work on nearby Klyde Warren Park, the game-changing freeway deck park which reconnected neighborhoods and revitalized the surrounding area. Goff also mentions Jim Burnett’s recent ASLA Design Medal recognition as the “highest achievement” in Landscape Architecture.

When asked if Houston has hit a peak, with office, hotel and multi-family construction, Goff surmises that there is plenty of room for exceptional offices and hotels. “The sub-market of Uptown is one of the best in the US,” Goff says. He continues by stating that the work, live, play environment is not a passing fad. “A growing percentage of occupants are coming from walking distance of the buildings…that is what Uptown is all about,” he concludes.
