OJB Houston Participates in Volunteer Day

Last Friday, OJB, Brightview, Bartlett Tree Experts, Living Earth plus 650 volunteers from NuMotion volunteered to beautify an East Houston elementary school completely flooded by Hurricane Harvey.

Recovery Houston, a nonprofit which formed after Harvey, organized the event. Their goal was to renovate the exterior of Hilliard Elementary and provide a wonderful and beautiful school for the 600 displaced students to return to next fall. In less than three hours, the team of volunteers planted 300 trees and 3,000 plants, and built and outdoor classroom, community garden and picnic area.
