Dustin is originally from Knoxville, TN growing up in the shadow of the Great Smoky Mountains where he developed a passion for designing in partnership with ecological systems and the associated communities of human and non-human actors. Dustin was awarded a Bachelor of Science in Plant Sciences and a Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Tennessee focusing his studies on community embedded design, parametric workflows, animation, digital visualization, and fabrication. His work is informed by over a decade of experience as a musician, choreographer, teacher, artist, and advocate bringing knowledge from outside the discipline into daily practice.

Dustin has been a part of projects with a large range of scales and typologies including city wide planning, residential garden design, land art installations, rooftop playgrounds, riverfront parks, and large format 3D printed installations. Dustin brings passion and energy daily to his work and takes interest in all aspects of practice. Dustin has presented work at the Conference of Educators in Landscape Architecture, the TNASLA Conference, the American Society of Horticultural Science National Conference, and was named the Olmsted Scholar for the University of Tennessee School of Landscape Architecture.

Outside of work, Dustin enjoys exploring Boston’s North Shore with his partner, cycling, gardening, and is an avid pinball player. Dustin is thrilled to be a part of the incredibly talented team at OJB.
