About Tyler Jurney

Tyler joined OJB in 2012 after receiving his Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture from Oklahoma State University. As a talented landscape architect and natural manager, he is a key member of the design team. Applying his creativity, strong organizational skills, and meticulous attention to detail, he has served as Project Manager for a wide range of landscape projects from mixed-use and parks to residential, office and medical. He has worked on many of OJB’s high profile projects, including those where OJB has been the prime consultant. For Duncan Plaza Park, a $9M master planning project in New Orleans, Tyler served as Project Manager, leading an internal team of designers and various sub-consultants through the preparation of landscape architectural design and construction documents.

He also has a strong working knowledge of the agency coordination and submission process from his work on large scale mixed-use environments, CityPlace including a 60-acre mixed-use urban district and Park District, a new mixed-use development with office, retail, and residential units in Dallas; and Allen Center, a renovation project that transformed 3 Class A office towers and a vibrant public green space in downtown Houston. He is currently working on the design for a Knox project in Dallas.

Tyler visits a new country each year, this plays a huge role in his inspiration. His design philosophy is less is more. Inspired by his cultural experiences during travel, he pays extreme attention to the details that aren’t visible to the average eye; The challenge of integrating architecture and landscape is what drives him on each project. Outside of work, he enjoys a good game of golf.
