CoStar’s expanded riverfront campus will centralize over 3,000 CoStar employees in the heart of downtown Richmond.
CoStar Group enlisted OJB as part of the design team to create a centralized urban campus in the heart of downtown Richmond. The programs include fitness, a food hall, training areas, office space, several co-working stations and public retail along Tredegar Street facing the river. The landscape and site are an extension of a revitalized workplace.
The building offers expansive views to the outdoors, as well as stepped terraces that extend the interior floorplates out into the landscape. The centerpiece of the project is the CoStar Green, a 3/4-acre green space with a flexible lawn, pocket seating and outdoor work spaces. The CoStar Green steps down into an amphitheater with views of the James River in downtown Richmond. This central gathering point is both an anchor for the downtown district, as well as a grouping of amenities for the CoStar team that can be used year-round.
