ARC Institute

State-of-the-art laboratories are complemented by a garden-like campus environment designed to support relaxation, collaboration, and productivity.

More than ten mature oak trees were carefully preserved and woven into the site plan, anchoring the landscape with continuity and natural character. The design creates a seamless relationship between built and natural environments, offering distinct spaces for focused work, informal collaboration, and restoration. The planting strategy prioritizes California native and climate-adapted species—comprising more than half of the palette—to support long-term sustainability, resilience, and a daily connection to nature. Subtle, targeted interventions transform previously underused areas into inviting outdoor rooms, while strong indoor–outdoor connections extend the workplace beyond the building envelope. Delivered on an ambitious 18-month timeline, the project balances beauty, performance, and ecological stewardship to create a cohesive, high-functioning campus environment.
